South Africa is made up of valleys, forests, mountains, deserts, beaches and grassy savannahs that are breathtaking in their picturesque scale.

You will be met by your driver/guide and embark on discovering the ‘Fairest Cape.’ Snake along legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Ride the Flying Dutchman funicular on a railroad to Cape Point. It’s an exciting way to see the sights of the old lighthouse and awe-inspiring views! After lunch, continue along the coast to the lively penguin colony at Boulders Beach before heading back to the city via the naval village of Simon’s Town.

Today’s you will celebrate the Winelands and learn all about the process of winemaking, from grape to goblet. Revel in the scenery of the breathtaking beauty of the Franschhoek valley. Take a stroll the charming Stellenbosch with its Cape Dutch architecture, absorbing the quaintness of this lovely university town.
A trip to the Winelands isn’t complete without a wine tasting, proceed on a cellar tour and two tastings at different wine estates. Enjoy lunch at a leading wine estate or in delightful Franschhoek, South Africa’s gourmet capital.

Start the day with a cable car ride to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain and enjoy breathtaking views of the city. After descending, drive past the historical Castle of Good Hope, the country’s oldest building, and the Company Gardens. The nearby famous landmarks include the Slave Lodge, Houses of Parliment the City Hall, where Nelson Mandela made his first public speech after his release from prison in 1990. Visit Bo-Kaap formally known as the Malay Quarter and marvel at the vibrant colours of the houses painted by their owners as an expression of their freedom. In the afternoon the a ferry to Robben Island, a historic landmark and UNESCO site, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years. Return to your hotel for an evening of leisure.

A soothing hand washing ceremony completes your interactive drumming experience. Shamwari (meaning “my friend” in Shona) Game Reserve is one of the largest private conservation initiatives in Southern Africa. It stretches thousands of acres over a malaria-free landscape, it offers an award-winning wildlife experience. The reserve is about conserving a vanishing way of life. Relax at the lodge until time for your first afternoon game drive.

Long Lee Manor

The priority at Shamwari Game Reserve is long-term ecological sustainability. Between game drives visits to one of the awareness centers. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre provides care for young, injured and abandoned animals, which are later released back into the wild. Shamwari has developed an effective anti-poaching unit over the years and follows a proactive approach through intelligence gathering to prevent any incidents while simultaneously actively protecting the fauna and flora.

Long Lee Manor

Your game ranger will share expert knowledge where the graceful leopard, rhino, elephant and hippo share the domain a large variety of smaller game, kudu, gemsbok, wildebeest, zebra, hyena and as well as a paradise of bird, reptile and plant life. Join your ranger on a guided nature walk that offers another perspective of the fauna and flora around you.
