Uganda was once described as the “Pearl of Africa’. The lush land is known for its primate population and fine scenery.

Uganda has been attracting adventure travelers to the Bwindi Forest to see the endangered mountain gorillas for many years.

A short flight over Uganda’s crater lakes region to your idyllic lodge on the outskirts of Kibale Forest.The rest of the day is at leisure where you can relax by the pool while you soak up the surrounding views of Lake Kyaninga and the Rwenzori Mountains.

Ndali Lodge

Explore the lush Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to 13 primate species. The star attraction is the chimpanzees. Return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. As an option, go on a second trek (pre-purchase of the chimpanzee permit is required at the time of booking).

Today you will visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. It’s a haven for a huge number of bird and butterfly species. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, boasting one of the highest biodiversity ratings in the world. Start you wildlife safari with an afternoon game drive to seek out Elephants, Bushbuck, and Waterbuck, then watch the sun set over Kyambura Gorge.

Kyambura Gorge Lodge

After breakfast explore the Kasenyi Plains an excellent place for lion sighting. In the afternoon you will board a small boat and cruise the Kazinga to see the Pink-backed pelicans and hippos in the Uganda kob.
Return to your lodge for sundowner and dinner while you watch the wildlife on the savanna plains.

Kyambura Gerge Lodge

Today’s journey will take you southwest to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, known for its prized population of about 300 mountain gorillas. Your stay will be at the stunning Bwindi eco-lodge.

Put on your rain gear and hiking boots and get ready to conquer the “Impenetrable Forest”. You guide will lead you along the steep jungle trails to see the Habituated gorilla families and learn about the ongoing conservation efforts to protect them. After dinner gather around the fireplace to share your experiences of these gentle primates with fellow adventurers.
